In your opinion, what importance, if any, does the existence of a Jewish state has to you personally and to Jewish people in general?

“It is essential that there will be an independent Jewish state that supports cultural life of Jews in the Diaspora, and gives them guidance and direction from the religious perspective.”

Do you feel committed in some way to defend the future existence of Israel?

“Yes.”

Do you feel morally responsible for Israel’s actions (such as its management of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict)?

“No, protecting your country is not matter of morality. You can not defend your country against ongoing terrorist attacks by Arabs inside and out with considering to morality. Each state and Israel is no different, has a right to defend itself and its citizens.”

In your opinion, what is the main thing Israelis fail to understand about the reality of being Jewish outside of Israel?

“Israel’s seem to think that outside of Israel one doesn’t have to work hard to make a living, they are wrong, in Hungary you have to work a lot harder for a lot less pay.”

How would you describe Israel’s policy (formally and in practice) regarding its relationship with the Diaspora?

“Average, i would love if they would put back on air the “Kol Israel” radio station broadcast in Hungarian, so we could hear news about life in Israel on a daily basis.”

In your opinion, does Israel have an obligation to defend and help Jewish communities in need?

“yes.”

Have you ever been to Israel?

“Yes.”
