In your opinion, what importance, if any, does the existence of a Jewish state have to you personally and to Jewish people in general?

“a homeland. A spiritual connection to our religion and the land.”

Do you feel committed in some way to defend the future existence of Israel?

“Yes despite the present political situation.”

Do you affiliate yourself with a specific denomination in Judaism? What is your view regarding the dominance of the Orthodox denomination in Israel religious establishment?

“None. I believe in pluralism.

Do you feel morally responsible for Israel’s actions (such as its management of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict)?

“Yes.

In your opinion, what is the main thing Israelis fail to understand about the reality of being Jewish outside of Israel?

“That we have a moral stake in Israel. While they have a country to worry about and how it affects their lives.”

How would you describe Israel’s policy (formally and in practice) regarding its relationship with the Diaspora?

“Before, they needed us. Now we are a after thought unless we make a stink. But rarely since the late 90’s have we made a difference or the pm says OK to us and backtrack with his coalition.

In your opinion, does Israel have an obligation to defend and help Jewish communities in need?

“Yes for safety purposes only but world Jewry has the same obligation.”

“Yes, Love the country vitality ‘can do’ spirit.

“How do you see the 2 state solution or the rights of the Palestinians playing out?”
